Science Thursdays at Battle Creek

Spontaneous hugs from excited students to greet us at the door.

A young girl, giddy with excitement at watching her dry ice sublimate and jumping out of her seat at unexpectedly hearing it squeal when she pressed her metal spoon against it. The priceless look on her face and her reaction to being surprised by the experiment, "What was that?! I LIKE SCIENCE!"

The kinetic energy of our hands turning to sound and heat as we give each other high fives at the door.

The engineering feats of saving a beach from erosion (and the room from becoming a beach)

These are some of our favorite moments so far. Thank you Battle Creek 4th and 5th grade students and teachers!!
